- OIL IS THE KEY to the Baler’s operational lifespan.
- Analyze oil every 1,000-1,200 operating hours.
- Send oil to outside source for analysis
- Could have contamination-water in oil, metal fragments, etc.
- Change oil if contamination is found in the critical range, or use a filtering process brought directly to the Baler to reduce contaminate levels.
- If Oil has gotten too hot, have viscosity checked and if it is below specifications change the oil
- Change oil when the oil analysis or filtering doesn’t bring the oil into the normal range on contaminates, wear metals, viscosity index or other Critical indicators on the analysis report.
